The church St Robert in the village la-Chapelle-Saint-Robert dates back to 12th century. Its construction was undertaken by benedictines of Chaise-Dieu.
Robert de Turlande sent his disciple Raoul Passeron to build the priory. Later chose the name of this church by considering the abbott of Chaise-Dieu.
The buildings of the priory long disappeared. Today only the church remains. It has been renovated by the association for safeguarding (association de sauvegarde de l'église de la Chapelle Saint Robert).
The church is oriented to the south (?), comprises of a long nave, a transept vault of a dome, the the choir ends in an apse flanked by two apsideioles.
The square bell tower has three levels and is adorned with sixteen blind bays surmounted by eight other open work hatched by a roof.
Originally the interior walls were decorated with frescoes of which one has been recently restored.
